I love Cinnamon Raisin Bagels, I can honestly say that I eat one at least 4 days a week. Someone told me that bagels are not good for you, but a Cinnamon Raisin Bagel in the morning for me is like coffee to some people (I hate coffee YUCK!). I don't desire them on the weekends (I buy them from the coffee bar at my job), and I will only eat a certain kind (weird huh?) I think the one that I like is by S.Rosen's.
My mid-morning snack consisted of 14 almonds and a few peanuts and raisins (sorry didn't count the peanuts and raisins...lol). Why do I count my almond??? Well #1) they are large enough to be counted with ease, #2) 28 almonds is one serving size (these are the Whole Natural Almonds by Blue Diamond) and #3) I eat the remainder of the 14 after my workout so that way I know I got a full serving. See, told you I was a label reader. I would need a measuring cup for the raisins and peanuts tend to break up so I have to use more of a visual guess with amount that I eat.
Yesterday my friend asked me about the calories in Oreo cookies. She said I know you know this. Of course I did! LOL! 3 Oreo cookies are considered 1 serving (160 calories, 14 grams of sugar, 7 grams of fat, I think???) must I keep going? I would rather have something a little more filling if I'm going to add those numbers into my daily food journal. By the way....I have to get better at keeping up with my daily food journal. But I will talk about that in another blog....toodles! :D
