WOW! I had a very tasty lunch today, nothing special, just an old time favorite that I haven’t had in a while and boy was it delicious! I don’t eat pork, I’m not a huge seafood fan, and I try not to eat a lot of beef, so I had a turkey breast sandwich for lunch! Yep, just a basic sandwich…I used a 100% whole wheat bagel thin (made by Thomas; http://thomasbagelthins.com/) instead of bread (all I had was bagel thins with me), turkey breast, about ½ teaspoon of mayo (may have been a little less than ½ teaspoon), lettuce, and a pinch of shredded cheddar cheese (literally just a pinch). I toasted the bagel, heated the meat and cheese and added everything else and it was YUMMY! I miss my tasty but basic turkey breast sandwiches, I will definitely have to bring these more often and I will probably substitute the bagel thin with my favorite bread (100% whole wheat whole grain bread by Healthy Life; only 35 calories per slice; http://www.healthylifebread.com/pages/original/100-whole-wheat-bread.php). In addition to the sandwich I had a few peanuts maybe a 1/8-1/4 cup and water of course! Some of you are probably wondering why I’m so excited about my lunch….well lately I’ve been too lazy to bring anything to work with me and I end up eating Oatmeal with raisins and walnuts (I love it but it makes lunch very boring…lol!)
