Do you have a STRONG or WEAK mind?

Not to offend anyone, but sometimes when I see a severely overweight person I can't help but wonder at what point did they not realize that were getting heavier and heavier.  After saying this a few dozen times it became clear.  It's not that an individual does not realize they are gaining weight, but it's lack of will power (provided that the weight gain is due to poor eating).

I'm an advocate on label reading, how else are you suppose to know what you're putting into your body?  When I want to treat myself to something (candy, fast food, fruit juice, etc..) all I need to do is read the label and I get turned off instantly.  I feel that it's not worth it!  Not saying that I don't eat these foods, but I will ration with myself and think about my week.  Did I work out as much as I should, what else have I eaten this week.  If I can't come up with a response that's satisfying to me, I will skip the treat.

After skipping a few treats here and there, it became clear that a lot of people may not do this.  You really have to have a strong mind/will power to say no to that particular food you may be craving.  It's almost like you have to train your brain to say no and find something healthier but satisfying.

So next time you tell yourself, It's just one candy bar or cookie...see if you can have the will power to find a healthier satisfying treat/snack.
