Sorry I’ve been MIA for a few weeks but I’ve been busy, busy, busy with other things.  I wanted to talk about Athenos Baked Pita Chips.  These Pita Chips are listed as the "Best Pita Chip" awarded by Fitness Magazine (Athenos Baked Whole Wheat Pita Chips make the Fitness magazine's 2010 Healthy Food Awards.)  I think they’re pretty tasty but a little saltier than what I would like.  The other day I had a turkey breast sandwich and fruit for lunch and wanted something else to accompany it so I went to the vending machine and YUCK!  95% of the items are unhealthy :(  Well after sifting through the junk I came across the Pita Chips which is an excellent replacement for Potato Chips.  They have a good amount of fiber and protein! YAY!  BTW, listed on the bag is a FAT comparison chart…this product has 6g of fat versus Potato Chips which has 15g of fat.  The only negatives I see about the Pita Chips is, they don’t go well with a sandwich, too much bread at once.  So I will definitely be snacking on these through out the day!

Check out the Athenos website:  http://www.athenos.com/products.aspx

There are 3 different flavors (Original, Roasted Garlic and Herbs, and Whole Wheat), I’m eating the whole wheat, here are the nutrition facts:
