It's been 2.5 years since my initial weight loss. I didn't noticed how much weight I loss until I got all of my pictures together (before the loss, right after, and now). I guess the main reason I couldn't tell is because I look at myself everyday and I weigh myself multiple times a day (maybe 2-3 times a day) and my number remained the same (except when I got sick in July and loss a little more weight and have been doing a good job by keeping it off thus far). But I've built a lot of muscle of my number should be the same, muscle is heavier than fat.
I use to be a size 14 and liked my size about 90%, the other 10% was always the stomach region but since you cannot spot lose (meaning only lose weight in certain areas of the body), I loss every where of course. I'm now at a more healthier weight. When I first started losing the weight I only wanted to lose 10-15 pounds or so, I'm so glad I didn't. I would rather be at a healthier weight and avoid any possible health issues as I get older than let whatever fester in my body for years to come. I'm 32 now and I've heard many people say as they've gotten older that getting in shape was harder for them due to their age, slower metabolism, pre-menopause, menopause, etc... I am conditioning my body now so I can possibly avoid the havoc of those things.
I told one of my friends that as a personal trainer I refuse to work with someone if they are over weight and refuse to drop to a healthier weight. She said I was mean, that's not mean, why hire a personal trainer if you're not going to utilize the full benefits and get the most out of your money.
