My Not So Favorite Foods

Since my whole healthy kick I find myself eating foods that are not my favorite.  For example, I hate egg yoke and I hate boiled eggs altogether so I usually scramble my eggs minus the yoke.  I'm okay with salad but it's not my favorite.  I really have to fix a salad "my way" in order for it to be to my likings, other than that it taste BLAH!  Special K with Protein and Multi-Grain Cheerios cereals are also on my not so favorite foods list but I eat them anyway.  Oh and let's not forget my protein shake, but I drink it any way.

The point to my story is, sometimes you make sacrifices to achieve and maintain certain goals.  I eat the entire egg and drink the protein shake for the protein which helps with muscle building, I eat the salad for the added veggies and it makes a nice healthy meal with the right ingredients, and there are healthier cereals that I like but they don't carry some of the things I look for which I can find in Special K with Protein and Multi-Grain Cheerios.

I don't think that these foods are just out right nasty (except for egg yoke...lol), but would I prefer to eat Frosted Flakes (my favorite cereal in the whole wide world..."They're Grrrrreat!") instead of Special K or Cheerios, well of course!  I have NEVER restricted myself from my favorite foods, I eat them in moderation.  You should always have a cheat day.  Mine is usually Saturday because I'm more likely to go out that day and stray away from my usual style of eating.

WARNING!!!  Don't confuse a cheat day with a binge day, meaning, you can't have 3,000 calories (I'm not saying to count calories on your cheat day but if you choose to eat a Big Mac meal for lunch and dinner on top of having candy, chips, soda, fruit juice, etc...you will hit 3,000 cals easy).  Pick a couple of foods that you would like to have on your cheat day and enjoy yourself.  **NOTE** enjoy your cheat foods but don't over eat them.  Please stay within a serving size or less.  Fast food restaurants gives more than a serving size so be mindful of that!!!
